More Christmas Fun

Last weekend we went to a Christmas party for Dyran's basketball team.

Karson sitting with Kayla. Kayla is an 8th grader on Dyran's team and Karson absolutely loves her. She stayed with Kayla most of the night.

Christmas with Garrison

We opened presents with Keith, Katie and Garrison a couple of weeks before Christmas. The kids had a great time playing together.

Our Trip to Nashville

2 weekends ago, my mom and I took Karson to Nashville. We had the best time. We of course walked all through the Opryland Hotel and enjoyed all the lights and decorations. Karson even visited Santa. We did a lot of shopping at the Opry Mills Mall and the Green Hills Mall (which is the best by the way). We visited the Rain Forest Cafe and even went on a carriage ride. We also visited ICE which is a bunch of ice sculptures and the theme this year was Charlie Brown. It was very neat but the temperature in the place was 6 degrees- burrrrrrr!!!! Luckily we came prepared and Karson was bundled up. She was was very intrigued with how she could blow smoke - I thought she would hyperventilate. We had a really good time. Karson suprisingly did really well on the drive there and back - although she did not sleep any. She is just not a sleeper - much to my dismay!!

All I Want for Christmas....

In Nashville, Karson got to send a letter to Santa and got an "e-mail" back from Santa. Karson also sat in Santa's lap - no, I am not kidding. As many of you know - last year she was terrified of Santa but this year she walked right up to him, told him her name, held up 3 fingers to tell him how old she was, and told him she wanted an orange La La for Christmas. For those of you who don't know, La La is her pink stuffed dog that is like her "security blanket" and she LOVES the color orange. As Christmas approached this year and we asked her what she wanted for Christmas, she told us an orange La La. I guess you will have to wait until the Christmas morning blog posting to see if Santa comes through!!!!

Dress Up

Karson loves to play "dress up" with our clothes and shoes. Believe it or not, she actually put those boots on by herself.

Christmas Cookies

Karson loves to help me cook and she really loved to help me make Christmas cookies. She had dough and sprinkles everywhere but she had a great time.

Happy Halloween!

During the day on Halloween, we went to Keith, Katie and Garrison's house for a Halloween Party. Much to my dismay - I forgot my camera. There were about 10 kids and they decorated cookies, gathered candy, wrapped each other up with toilet paper like mummies, played with play-dough, and decorated pumpkins. It was a great party and the kids loved it. Karson says she was a princess for Halloween but she looked more like a ballerina. She loved getting dressed up and really loved spraying glitter all over her hair and costume. We went trick-or-treating with Garrison, Keaton, and Emma. Because of the rain, we only went to 6-7 houses and then Karson and Emma spent the rest of the night playing inside. She seemed to have a good time but suprisingly - she did not eat hardly any of her candy. She was just not very interested in it. I'm not complaining though.

Trip to the Movies

A few weeks ago, Karson and I went to see Toy Story (3-D) at West Town. This was Karson's first trip to the movies. It was a double feature - showing Toy Story 1 and 2. She did not like the 3-D glasses. She said everything was too close. She made it through 3/4 of the first movie and then she said, "well - I'm ready to go." I think she liked the Sprite and popcorn better than the movie.

Trip to the Zoo

This past weekend - We loaded up and went to the zoo. We went with Tammi, Peiton, Colby, Jake, Milea, and Bryson. The kids had a great time except Karson got stung over the eye by a yellow jacket. Yep - the crying lasted about 45 min and the whole right side of her faced swelled up and stayed swollen for 2 days. Otherwise - we had a good time. We even got to see baby George.

Karson's 3rd Birthday

Our sweet baby girl turned 3 years old on September 17th. My how time flies. We never imagined what joy this little one would bring into our lives. She is truly a blessing. She is changing so much every day and I am trying so hard to cherish every moment. I wanted to share a few pictures from when she was first born and then of course from her birthday parties.
Unfortunately - it rained for her big party but the kids had fun playing in the rain. My mom rented a huge blow-up train that they could jump in and slide down. As you can imagine - it got
really slippery and the kids were a mess.

Look at those calf muscles!
My dad and Cathy got Karson this Hummer. She loves it. Gunner loved chasing her too.
